About the Corporation

Ethiopian Construction Design and Supervision Works Corporation (ECDSWCo.) is undergoing a transformation and diversification from its current consultancy operations. Leveraging its existing strengths and capitalizing on emerging external opportunities driven by shifts in Ethiopian Economic Policy, the Corporation aims to significantly contribute to the success of the Ethiopian Construction Industry. It envisions establishing a dynamic business entity that not only addresses existing gaps in the construction sector but also reduces reliance on dominant international construction firms engaged in government mega projects.

In pursuit of this, the Corporation is evolving into an Engineering and Investment Group, tentatively named ‘Ethiopian Engineering and Investment Group (EEIG)’. The Group will encompass three primary operational divisions: Consultancy, Construction, and Investment. The Construction arm of EEIG will focus on intricate high-rise commercial and residential projects, real estate, infrastructure (roads, railways, airports), and water and energy sector developments. Over time, EEIG Construction aims to expand into various business units including Piling, Foundation Works, Fit-Out, Solar Energy Solutions, Electro-Mechanical Solutions, Facility Management, Landscape Design, and Construction Materials Production.

EEIG Construction aspires to be recognized as Ethiopia’s premier construction company, employing a Design and Build Contractor approach to efficiently deliver complex projects while upholding core values of Courage, Integrity, Reliability, People-Centric Value, and Innovation. The goal is to emerge as a competitive alternative to international contractors, demonstrating excellence and reducing external dependence.
