About the Organization
The Ministry of Irrigation and Lowland in Ethiopia is a government institution responsible for managing and overseeing the country’s irrigation projects and lowland development initiatives. It aims to enhance water resource management for agricultural purposes, promote sustainable irrigation practices, and improve the livelihoods of communities in lowland areas. The ministry plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient water use and mitigating the impact of droughts, as well as fostering economic growth and food security in Ethiopia’s lowland regions.
The Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP) financed by theIDA and IFAD under the Ministry of Irrigation and Lowland would like to invite qualified applicants for the following position:
I. Accountant
Education
- BA degree in Accounting
Work Experience
- Minimum of 4 years experience in related work.
Skills and Knowledge
- Software applications such as Excel. Peachtree Accounting. Windows…. etc
- Ability to work in team and independently
- Good interpersonal communication
- Good report writing ability
- Computer application
- Familiarity with Government Finance and Accounting Systems: working with Donor funded projects is preferable.
2. Driver
Education
- Minimum completion of Grade 10
Work Experience
- Minimum 4 years as a Driver after getting Grade III Driving License (It should have an up to date Driving License).
Required No. One ( I )
Terms of Employment: One year contract with possible extension.
Salary:- As per the project scale.
Duty station:- Addis Ababa with extensive field trip to project woredas in pastoral and agro pastoral areas
