About ACTED
ACTED is a French humanitarian NGO, founded in 1993, which supports vulnerable populations, affected by humanitarian crises worldwide. ACTED provides continued support to vulnerable communities by ensuring the sustainability of post-crisis interventions and engaging long-term challenges facing our target populations, in order to break the poverty cycle, foster development and reduce vulnerability to disasters. Their interventions seek to cover the multiple aspects of humanitarian and development crises through a multidisciplinary approach which is both global and local, and adapted to each context.
Job Purpose
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Area Logistics Officer, the stock keeper is responsible for receiving, storing, protection and delivery of commodities based on ACTED stock procedures.
Objectives
- Ensure compliance to ACTED & donors’ procedures in all stock operations under his/her responsibility and actively promote stock procedures
- Contribute to timely, cost efficient & transparent transversal stock management in area
- Support ACTED’s Routine Programme operations as delegated by the Sr logistics officer
Qualification
- A bachelor’s degree in Management , Supply Chain Management or closely related field of study
- At least 1 years of work experience in a similar field; former experience with humanitarian organizations is an asset.
- Good English communications skills (both oral and written).
- Strong team player of high integrity, pleasant personality, ability to work under least supervision and meet strict deadlines.
- Somali language is a mandatory requirement.
- High level of integrity, transparency and honesty.
- Knowledge of the location context will be an advantage.
