1. Building Construction department Manager
Job Description
The Building Construction Department Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects. They manage teams, budgets, and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. They coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. The Manager also reviews project plans, negotiates contracts, and identifies cost-saving opportunities. Their leadership and problem-solving skills are essential in guiding successful construction projects from inception to completion.
Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage and lead construction teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project plans are executed effectively.
- Review and approve project plans, specifications, and budgets.
- Monitor construction progress and quality, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Identify and address potential issues and risks, implementing appropriate solutions.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Evaluate and implement cost-saving measures to optimize project outcomes.
Education
- M.SC or B.SC From recognized University in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and related field.
Experience
- More than 12 Years for M.SC or More than 14 years in building construction sector, out of which More than 6 years in managerial position in construction sector.
Place of Work
- Head office, Addis Ababa and frequently Visit Building
2. Senior Human Resource Officer
Job Description
The Senior Human Resource Officer is responsible for overseeing various HR functions. They manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training programs. They ensure compliance with labor laws, handle HR policies and procedures, and support employee development. The Senior HR Officer collaborates with management to address HR-related issues and fosters a positive work environment. They maintain employee records, handle grievances, and assist in resolving conflicts. Additionally, they contribute to strategic HR planning and implement initiatives to enhance organizational performance and employee engagement.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage recruitment and selection processes, including job postings and interviews.
- Handle employee relations, address grievances, and promote a positive work environment.
- Oversee performance management systems and employee evaluations.
- Develop and implement training and development programs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and mediating workplace issues.
- Collaborate with management to address HR-related matters.
- Contribute to strategic HR planning and initiatives.
- Support employee engagement and retention efforts.
Education
- BA in Human Resource, Management and Related fields
Experience
- 6 years and above specially 2 years in construction sector and similar company work experience.
