About Rammis Bank S.C
Rammis Bank S.C is the pioneer institution to receive a license from the National Bank of Ethiopia to function as a fully-fledged Interest-Free Bank within the country. Its establishment aims to promote financial inclusion, particularly for segments of society alienated from the financial system due to religious beliefs or other factors. Upon its formation, Rammis Bank successfully raised a subscribed capital of Birr 1.4 billion and a paid-up capital of Birr 872 million from 8,200 shareholders.
Derived from the name of Rammis River, located in the eastern part of Ethiopia, the bank is dedicated to fostering sustainable economic growth.
